CEREC Same-Day Crowns
Dr. Josh Prather is dedicated to bringing our patients the latest advancements. That's why we're excited to offer CEREC same-day crowns! With Dr. Prather's expertise, we can complete a crown or bridge in just one appointment at our Fulton Dental office, eliminating the need for multiple visits. Here's a brief overview of how CEREC works.
Making High-Quality Dentistry Comfortable and Efficient
The CEREC treatment process is efficient and comfortable and delivers beautiful, high-quality restorations our patients can trust and rely on.
Dr. Prather initiates the CEREC process by scanning a 3-D image of your compromised tooth. This modern approach replaces the messy and uncomfortable impressions we used to take in the past to create models and restorations for your teeth. He uses this 3-D image to design a crown or bridge to his exact specifications. We then directly transfer this information to our milling machine, which utilizes high-quality ceramic porcelain to craft your new restoration.
When it's completed, Dr. Prather can permanently place your restoration and make any needed adjustments to ensure your bite is comfortable and functioning correctly before leaving. The entire process typically takes about 60 to 90 minutes, and you'll leave Fulton Dental Center the same day with an attractive and fully functioning restoration that blends seamlessly with your smile.
The Advantages of CEREC Restorations
CEREC technology offers several advantages that our patients appreciate.
- Efficiency—CEREC is quick and effective, making it ideal for dental emergencies or patients needing prompt solutions for their smiles.
- Comfort — CEREC eliminates the need for uncomfortable impressions that were difficult for many patients to endure.
- Aesthetics—Patients enjoy the same aesthetics with a CEREC crown as they would with a crown from a dental lab.
- Accuracy — 3-D technology offers clear impressions and accurate fittings for restorations.
Your trusted Fulton dentist is thrilled to bring this technology to valued patients, saving them time and stress.
When Do We Recommend Dental Crowns?
Dr. Prather may recommend a same-day crown in these situations:
- To rebuild a severely decayed, fractured, or damaged tooth
- To strengthen a tooth that's had root canal treatment
- To cover a tooth with cosmetic imperfections
- To replace a large, broken-down filling
If you have a damaged or compromised tooth, Dr. Prather will always review your options for dental treatment and restorations so you can feel empowered and confident about the choices you make for your smile. At Fulton Dental Center, we are your mentors for a beautiful smile and optimal dental health!
